Testing, testing...is this thing on?! Is anyone still liste...er...reading this? Ah well, it is ok if no one is reading it, I will still write it.
So right before I left, I was working on an art project, remember: High Art?
Well, ta da! Here it is! I got the inspiration from The Pleated Poppy I have been wanting to create a list of general family "rules" to point my kids toward when they started acting out or unloving towards us or their brothers; and there are a couple rules on there that might apply to mama and papa too ;)! So, welcome to our "family rules"

In case you can't read them all, they are:
Always Tell the Truth
Never Leave Angry
Obey Your Parents
Forgiveness is Mandatory
Jesus first Others second Yourself Last (J.O.Y.)
Say Your Prayers...Thank God for this family
Kindness Matters...Say: thank you, You're the Best, I miss you
husband: Love Her > < Wife: Respect Him
Encourage your Siblings
keep your promises
Too much TV is Bad; Too much reading is Good
sing silly, dance crazy, hug often, smile, remember to say I love you
Love the LORD your GOD
--Some of these rules are straight from Nicole's list, others I tweaked for us, and others I used because they are personal to us.
If you want to do a set of rules for yourself, this is how I did them:
Supplies: Large canvas. Paint in whatever color you want for the edges; different scrapbook papers that you love to look at; paintbrushes (I used a wide foam one for the painting and used a brush for the application); Modge Podge
So just paint the edges of the canvas and I painted to about 3 inches in. Under the paper, my canvas is blank. Don't waste paint if you don't have to.
Cut strips of the scrapbook paper. Mine are about 2" wide each, I didn't measure and I didn't care that they all weren't exact. If you care about that, then measure.
Modge Podge the strips on, and wait overnight (or two weeks, whichever.) for it to dry.
My letters were all cut with a Cricut. I believe that the blogger used different downloaded fonts, and either printed them or copied them by hand. That would have taken too long for me. I would either borrow a Cricut and several font cartridges or print them on paper and modge podge them on. If you want to do them by hand you can, it will just take a while.
Most of all, enjoy and have fun being creative! :)

LOVE it!!! I just might have to start using all those cool cartridges I've got (except for the "$30" one I didn't buy today) ;)
